Dr Mir is a highly experienced medical doctor who has branched into facial aesthetics including Botox and Dermal Fillers. Dr Mir obtained his medical degree from Kings College London, and has practiced in General Medicine, General Surgery, Dermatology ,Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Accident and Emergency. He is currently a clinical lead for one of the largest providers of GP care in England.
You will find Dr Mir approachable, honest and readily available for you to contact him. You will only be treated by Dr Mir, thereby offering continuity of care.
It is a common practice nowadays for nurses to administer Botox/Dermal Fillers. However in most cases the nurse must consult with and obtain a prescription from a Doctor who is at a remote location. This is done by telephone, e-mail, fax or video link. This Doctor will issue a prescription for the nurse remotely, having not seen the patient in the flesh for themselves.
Dr Mir believes that nothing can replace the traditional face to face consultation between the medical practioner and the patient, and hence offers extremely good value to his clients.
As a result of this service Dr Mir finds that most of his new clients are from word of mouth recommendation.
Botox Injections are now available at Uber Beauty Rooms in Marlow.

What is Botox and what is it used for?
Botox is a natural protein that is used for the treatment of facial lines and winkles. Its most effective when used to reduce or eliminate the horizontal and vertical frown lines and crows feet.
Is Botox dangerous?
Botox is one of the safest non surgical cosmetic procedures available. There has never been a documented allergic reaction to Botox and the only death attribute to the cosmetic use of Botox occurred when a patient was given 1000 times the wrong dose. The effects of Botox are also limited to the face and do not affect other parts of the body.
How long does Botox last for and when do I notice the difference?
Botox lasts for 2-4 months, with regular use the intervals between treatment increase.
You will first notice the difference in 5-7 days with full effect seen at 14 days.
If Botox is not permanent, why should I keep having it?
Firstly Botox is a non surgical procedure.
It has been shown that with Botox done back to back (4 times a year) for 2-3 years, the target muscles become significantly weakened.
Thereafter, much less Botox would be needed each time or the periods between follow ups lengthen considerably. Hence it gets more and more lasting to approximae "permanent".
Do the wrinkles come back with vengeance once Botox has faded?
Absolutely NOT! They go back to the orignial state or perhaps slightly improved afer 2-4 months when the Botox has worn off. There are long term improvements to fine lines and skin texture that cannot be explained by the muscle blocking action alone. Perhaps without the background muscle tone on the face, some degree of healing takes place, such that fine lines diappear.
What if I dont have wrinkle or frown lines?
Regular use of Botox will delay the onset of wrinkles or frown lines as we age, or when they do appear, they may not be as pronounced as they would have been without Botox.
Will the Botox injections hurt?
A very fine needle is used in the outer layer of the face.
A sedative or anaesthetic cream is not used, because only minimal discomfort is felt when the needle is inserted and the liquid injected. This sensation last for a few seconds only.
Who can give Botox?
Only Doctors and Dentists can prescbe the Botox. Only Doctors, Dentists & Nurses can legally administer Botox.
What is the after treatment care?
Exercise the injected muscles as much as possible for 1 hour.
Stay upright as much as possible for 3-4 hours.
No chemical peels, sunbeds, gym work or laser treatment for 7 days.
All clients are welcome to see the Doctor 2 weeks later for a complimentary top up.
What are the side effects of Botox?
These include mild headaches and nausea (which may occur up to a couple of hours after the procedure), bruising around the injection sites (on rare occasions the bruising may look extensive, but will improve within a few days). Botox applied too close to the eye may cause temporary blurred vision. Droopy eyelid may also occur in up to 5% of patients, and this may last for 2-4 weeks.
Who cannot have Botox?
Under 18′s
Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers
Patients with neuromuscular disorders (eg. Myasthenia Gravis or Lambert Eaton syndrome)
Patients receiving aminoglycoside antibiotics
Patients with bleeding disorders or patients taking plavix, persantin or warfarin. (Patients taking aspirin or ibuprofen or similar medicines should stop these a few days prior to having Botox, but only after checking with their own GP that it is safe to do so)
Patients with known reactions to any ingredients Botox.
“I have beautiful long dark lashes now, that don’t need mascara. When I wake first thing in the morning there they are, incongruously perfect in my otherwise sleep-rumpled face. People often peer at them in disbelief and obvious envy or they’ll look inquisitively trying to work out what’s different about me – even men notice. I can’t live without them now!”
Until relatively recently, when the likes of Cheryl Cole and Katie Price started wearing them (although the two looks could not be more different), false eyelashes were really only for the fans of the Sixty’s. However, lately the beauty industry has seen a massive increase in demand for them.
Depending on the look you prefer, will determine whether you go for the cheaper strip application that you can buy from most well known high street pharmacies or if you prefer to have them professionally applied so they will last much longer and look less fake – these are known as Eyelash Extensions.
If you want the Hollywood look as opposed to the Only Way is Essex look, the suggestion would be to go for Eyelash Extensions, which come in all lengths, colours and thicknesses.
The application can take up to 2 hours, however Nicki at Uber Beauty Rooms is quick so you don’t usually find it takes as long as that. She is also a perfectionist and loves doing them so she aims to get every client a result that will exceed their expectation.
Each false lash is individually bonded to one of your own lashes – so like most things the better the base the better the result, ie. the more of your own lashes you have the more fuller the result. However even clients who don’t have that many of their own lashes are surprised with the results Nicki gives them – she seems to work miracles.
Some therapists have a limit of lashes they will apply such as up to 60 or 80 lashes. Nicki will apply a lash to every one of your lashes where possible; she never puts a limit on the number of them because she wants the best result for her client.
For the first 24hours you have to wait for the glue to properly set so no showering your face, no swimming or sweating down the gym and no makeup.
Provided you don’t rub your eyes or use oil-based make-up remover, the false lashes will stay stuck to your real ones until the latter fall out, which they do every 4 to 6 weeks.
They are weightless so they won’t feel uncomfortable and what’s really fantastic is that you’ll hardly need to wear make-up. They certainly don’t require any mascara, only on your bottom lashes.
The only problem now is, that you’ll be totally addicted!
To book an appointment with Nicki, please call Uber Beauty Rooms on 01628 474440.
